Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and give accurate information when you sign up. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away at support@slideshown.com if you think your account has been accessed without permission.

SlideShown helps you create photo slideshows for social media, run experiments on them and track how they perform. Features can change as we improve the product. Some features, such as sending drafts to TikTok, depend on third-party platforms and may be labeled beta, limited or changed by those platforms at any time.

You own your content. This includes what you upload or enter (brand details, images, logos, fonts, ideas, metrics) and the slideshows, captions and other output the Service generates for you, to the extent permitted by law.

You give us a limited license to host, process, render and display your content only as needed to provide and improve the Service for you. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept in routine backups for a limited time.

You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload, including images, logos and fonts, and that your use of it through the Service doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. Photos found through stock services remain subject to those services' licenses, and you are responsible for using them in line with those terms.

The Service uses AI models to write text and choose layouts. Output can be inaccurate, repetitive, or similar to content others receive, and it is not professional advice. Review everything before you publish it. You are responsible for what you post, including making sure claims about your product are true and that posts follow advertising and disclosure rules that apply to you.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Break the law, or violate the terms or community guidelines of TikTok, Instagram or any platform you post to.
• Create content that is deceptive, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes others' intellectual property or privacy.
• Impersonate any person or organization, or create spam or coordinated inauthentic activity.
• Upload malware, probe or attack the Service, or get around usage limits, security or access controls.
• Scrape the Service, resell it, or use it to build a competing product without our written permission.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

The Service connects to third parties such as TikTok, Stripe, AI model providers and stock photo services. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. SlideShown is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok or Instagram.

• Free plan. The free plan includes limited usage and may change over time.
• Paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. Prices are shown before you subscribe and exclude taxes unless stated.
• Usage limits. Each plan includes a monthly AI usage allowance and other limits, such as the number of brands. Batch estimates are approximate. When you reach a limit, some features pause until your allowance resets or you upgrade.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from Settings. Your paid features continue until the end of the current billing period, and then your workspace moves to the free plan.
• Refunds. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or where we decide otherwise in a specific case.
• Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change affects your subscription.

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if we stop offering the Service, in which case we will give reasonable notice where we can and refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise any number of views, followers, downloads or sales, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SlideShown will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

You agree to defend and indemnify SlideShown against claims, damages and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your posts, or your breach of these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new terms.

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
